Hi! Thanks for caring enough about our region and about what’s going on in the State to stop by and have a look at who I am, why I am running in this election and what I stand for.

I’m Sonia Brymer, a wife and mother of three, Paediatric Occupational Therapist and owner of two small businesses.  I have been unhappy with the way things have been in our region for a long time and I’ve decided to step up and give you the opportunity to vote for someone who truly cares about you and your family.

Born in Adelaide, I moved here at the age of 24 to work at the Mildura Base Hospital and I have lived here for 16 years now.  I loved Mildura holidays growing up and I now love calling this region home.  Living here with no family connections for so long, until I built my own family, shows I have the strength to survive and thrive.  Whenever I have missed my place of birth I have remembered that I was drawn to serve this region and that has been a great source of peace for me.

I have served in the community by volunteering for local radio station Son FM as well as serving in church by leading the Missions team, playing the piano, cleaning, speaking to the congregation and volunteering as the Communications Coordinator for the founding committee of The Agape Orphanage Network.  I love to serve others and help out where I can.  My husband has also served the community as a well-respected Drug and Alcohol Counsellor to whom his clients respond incredibly well to.

My family has an extensive farming background and my grandfather commenced his farming career on a farm in Merbein.

I grew up loving dance and figure skating and through many years of training I learnt some great skills for the mental and physical strength needed to achieve big goals, such as winning an Australian Gold Medal with my team ‘Adelaide Avalanche’.  Because I was engaged in both team and individual competitions for these sports I learnt to succeed in both circumstances.  I learnt the strength and importance of my individual skills as well as the benefits of being part of a dedicated team.

What I don’t like is government overreach, political correctness, lies, the pushing of adult agendas onto kids, false promises, illogical legislation, the destruction of traditional family values and the restriction of free speech.

I’ve seen too much of this occurring in the past few years and it’s time it stopped!  I’m not a Politician, but I’m a fed-up, disgruntled voter who has decided to do the job right by doing it myself!

A vote for me is a vote for you and together, for our best future!
